The Harlan Family | The Olivia Act

Hey there!

As most of you heard I decided to participate in The Olivia Act, a group of photographers giving away free photo sessions to deserving families in honor of the Sandy Hook Elementary victims. The Olivia Act was inspired by professional photos that were taken of one of the victims, Olivia Engel, very shortly before she passed.  Those photos will now be cherished forever. Our goal is to give more deserving families photos that will mean the world to them as well.

I received very few nominations, but I am so glad Amy Roach nominated the Harlan family and introduced me to them.  It was a pleasure to work with them!  Their older daughters Adrianna and Adelynn were so much fun! They were very friendly and loving.  Alexandria, the newest member of the Harlan family pretty much slept the entire time, but she is such a gorgeous little baby! Erin and her husband, Zac, are very blessed.

Here is Amy's nomination for those of you that missed it.

"Zac and Erin are such great people and great friends.  They would truly do anything for everyone.  Four years ago, they had a baby girl named Adelynn.  She was born with down syndrome.  She is the most amazing little girl I have ever known.  She is so happy, fun, and loving towards everyone.  Zac and Erin were blessed to raise such a special little girl.  Then last year around Christmas time, they flew to Ecuador to adopt another little girl named Adrianna (a year older than Adelynn).  She also has down syndrome.  The two girls are now inseparable and are both just full of so much joy!  Zac and Erin are now expecting baby girl #3 sometime around January 7, 2013.  This photo shoot would be so awesome for them because they will have 3 little girls sometime very soon and they need a really good family photo!"

Here are my favorite photos from their session. I must have missed editing because this session was less than 12 hours ago and I'm almost done editing already!

and I had their dad snap a photo of me and the girls. :)

I hope you all enjoyed this session as much as I did.

Thanks for reading!
